Fine Art Screen Prints

The Printing process, the moment, when the paint is spread perfectly even on the paper, meets my need for perfection and control, and allows me to experience this need consciously. However, this is only an ephemeral feeling facing the unanticipated, I accept not to being able to control everything, and not wanting to.

By creating hand-cut stencils, I capture my urban environment with details that are easily overlooked and highlight them. For me, cutting out the template is a meditative act, through which I create a space to pause and reflect.

Screen printing is the intersection of the industrial and the artistic. The return to manual, handmade artistic creation in contrast to the digital and mass production allows perfection to be contrasted with the random and invites accepting the imperfect.
